Landlords' Gas Safety Certificates

A Landlords' Gas Safety Certificate is a certificate required by law in the UK under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 for all rental accommodation where gas appliances are present.

It is the duty of landlords to ensure the safety of gas installations and appliances in rented accommodation. The Landlord's Gas Safety Certificate must be obtained at least annually as proof that the installations and appliances have passed the tests. A copy of the certificate must be given to tenants.
